Fox Sports has been forced to remove this Saturday nights Serie A match from its schedule for the second weekend in a row due a broadcast rights dispute with the rights owner Media Partners & Silva Limited.

Fox Sports announced it had done a deal for exclusive rights to the league in Australia on the 27th of September however things quickly turned sour when it was forced to cancel a planned broadcast of the Torino vs. Juventus clash just hours before it was scheduled to take place on the 29th of September.

At the time Fox Sports told viewers that it was a one off incident and coverage would resume this weekend, however more matches have since been removed from the Fox Sports schedule.

A spokesperson for Fox Sports was hopeful coverage of the league would resume soon “Negotiations surrounding the broadcast of Serie A on Fox Sports are still continuing. When there is a resolution we will advise you of the outcome”.

The Italian Serie A league is considered to be the most professional league in the world. Broadcast rights deals surrounding the league have a history of being expensive and complex. Next weekend the league takes a break for an International round.
