1.14 Million Watch Federer Advance At #AusOpen #7Sport

Australians applauded with a combined peak audience of 2.16 million as 17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer advanced to the quarter finals over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

In the five-city metro markets a peak audience of 1.42 million tuned in to the Federer-Tsonga three-set match, with an average audience of 1.14 million, helping Seven win the night with a 33.1 share.

During the afternoon a combined peak audience of 1.45 million saw the world no.1 Rafael Nadal defeat Japan’sKei Nishikori, with the match averaging 535,000 in the five-city metro.

Seven’s broadcast of the Australian Open has now reached 11.5 million combined viewers and 7.5million five city metro.

Tonight world no.2 Novak Djokovic takes on the ‘Stanimal’ Stanislas Wawrinka in what promises to be an epic battle LIVE on Channel 7 from 7pm AEDT.
