The world’s premier netball league returns for another drama-charged
season this weekend with the opening round of the 2014 ANZ
Championship LIVE and only on FOX SPORTS.

After closing out the 2013 season with the most dramatic Grand Final in its six-year
history, the ANZ Championship returns for its next exciting chapter this weekend as
the best teams from Australia and New Zealand begin their quest for glory in 2014.

FOX SPORTS, the undisputed home of netball on Australian television, will once
again deliver LIVE coverage of all 74 matches over 17 weeks, beginning with this
weekend’s opening round.

The action gets underway across the Tasman when Mainland Tactix host Waikato
Bay of Plenty Magic in an all-NZ showdown on Saturday from 2pm AEDT on FOX
SPORTS 2HD & FOX SPORTS 2.

On Sunday the spotlight shines on Australia for an opening-round double-header
when the NSW Swifts host West Coast Fever, before Melbourne Vixens clash with
the Auckland-based Northern Mystics (coverage from midday on FS2).

The Round 1 action then continues when Southern Steel (NZ) host last year’s Grand
Finalists Queensland Firebirds on Sunday afternoon (5pm AEDT, FS2) and wraps up
with a Monday night battle between Wellington’s Central Pulse and the defending
champions, Adelaide Thunderbirds (5.30pm AEDT, FS2).

Kelli Underwood and Sarah Jones will steer the FOX SPORTS coverage of the
2014 ANZ Championship alongside a headline cast of former Australian Diamonds
captains and netball greats including Liz Ellis, Sharelle McMahon, Natalie von
Bertouch, and Kathryn Harby-Williams.
