Rove McManus returns to Australia next week as The Project’s special guest co-host.
Rove is excited to be joining his long-time friends and former colleagues, Carrie Bickmore and Pete Helliar, at the desk, even if it’s just for the week.
“If there is one thing that can guarantee to bring me home it is the idea of getting the band back together with Pete and Carrie. Being back doing live TV for a week with those two will feel like a reunion, except that Carrie is now reading real news and Pete isn’t trying to do a French accent.
“It will be great to be able to immerse myself in The Project for the week and be part of that incredible team. I’ll do my very best to keep up and try to return the show in the pristine condition I found it in when I’m done,” says Rove.
With his international career going from strength to strength and having recently become a father, Rove returns to Australia on the eve of his new television comedy series, Riot, which is set to launch in the US in the coming weeks.
Next week's guests on The Project include MasterChef Australia judge Matt Preston, plus we catch up with Jessica Mauboy in Copenhagen ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest and chat to Bryan Cranston, Zac Efron, Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen.
