RuPaul and his posse of Queens are back for a sixth season of the hit, competitive series RuPaul’s Drag Race, premiering Wednesday May 28 at 9.30pm on Foxtel’s LifeStyle YOU.
And this season, Australia’s own Drag Superstar, Courtney Act, will grace the runway and compete against other fierce and glamorous Queens to take out the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar. This is the first time ever an Australian has been a contestant on the much loved series.
Courtney Act is best remembered as a contestant on Australian Idol.
Brisbane-born Courtney Act said, “As a young boy I remember the first time I became aware of RuPaul. It was 1993, the boys from my dance school and I huddled around the cassette deck to listen to something that would change me forever. Twenty-one years later I feel like I have come of age, in a full circle moment, living in the US and being a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race.
“What an amazing and exciting experience it is, I am humbled and thrilled to be the first Australian, and non-US citizen, to ever be on the show too. Hold onto your knickers girls, and get ready for one hell of a glitter storm!”
In this highly entertaining and unpredictable season, RuPaul returns with a brand new field of gorgeous and talented sequin-sporting Queens. But it's not just about the wigs and the heels, it's about performers with passion who prove to be some of the most fascinating characters on television and this season brings us the biggest personalities the show has ever seen.
From deeply revealing work room interactions, to displays of wild creativity during the challenges, and their astounding transformations on the runway, every moment is hilarious, heart-filled, and truly unpredictable.
As always, this season dazzles with a new star-studded panel of celebrity judges including Khloe Kardashian, Paula Abdul, Neil Patrick Harris, Adam Lambert and many more.
