World Cup Quarterfinals and Tour De France kicks off this weekend on SBS

The next stage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off this weekend, after the ‘Round of 16’ matches concluded this morning.

The countries qualifying to the quarterfinals are Brazil, Colombia, Netherlands, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Argentina, and Belgium.

The quarterfinals will commence this Saturday, 5 July, with the first match between France and Germany live from Rio, commencing at 1.30am (AEST). The match will be hosted by Lucy Zelic, along with guest panellists Zeljko Kalac and Jason Culina.

Host country Brazil will then go head-to-head with Colombia at 5.30am (AEST), live from Fortaleza. The match will be hosted by David Zdrilic, along with guest panellists Ned Zelic and Aytek Genc. 

Replays of both matches will air on SBS ONE, Saturday, 5 July from 2.00pm (AEST).

The remaining two quarterfinal matches will be played out on Sunday, 6 July, when Argentina take on Belgium at 1.45am (AEST), live from Brasilia. The match will be hosted by Lucy Zelic, along with guest panellists Zeljko Kalac and Jason Culina.

Netherlands and Costa Rica will play the final match of the day, live from Salvador at 5.30am (AEST). The match will be hosted by David Zdrilic, along with guest panellists Ned Zelic and Aytek Genc.

Replays of both matches will air on SBS ONE, Sunday, 6 July from 2.00pm (AEST).

The quarterfinal matches will broadcast on SBS Radio 3 in German, Spanish and Dutch respectively, with every match broadcast in English on SBS Radio 4.

SBS will continue streaming all 2014 FIFA World Cup matches live online at sbs.com.au/theworldgame with interactive multi-streams, enabling users to watch the match from six different angles. It will also feature full match replays and multi-angle replay functionality. The SBS World Cup app will provide live mobile streams of every match across smartphones and tablets.

The exclusive coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup continues with every match live on SBS ONE and SBS HD until Monday 14 July. 

The Tour de France will also commence this Saturday, 5 July with all twenty-one stages live and exclusive on SBS ONE and online at sbs.com.au/tdf. Stage one of the Tour starts at 8.30pm (AEST) on Saturday, with stage two continuing on Sunday, 6 July at 8.30pm(AEST).
