Friday July 18 from 9.25pm on SBS 2
It’s box on box for SBS 2 this month with the launch of much talked about documentary Sex Box and six part drama series Lip Service set to spice up Friday nights from July 18.
Sex Box is a sex talk show with a difference; a panel discussion about the real sex lives of people, with one exceptional twist. In a unique television format inspired by the work of sex researchers, three couples have sex, and then talk about it afterwards, while the feelings and sensations are still vivid and truthful.
They discuss their experience with the programme's host, agony aunt Mariella Frostrup, in front of a studio audience and with a panel of experts: internationally syndicated sex columnist Dan Savage, sex body language and relationship expert Tracey Cox, and psychotherapist, broadcaster and author Phillip Hodson.
While the talk is intimate, the couples' love-making is hidden from view, taking place in a private area where nobody but them can see what's going on: inside the Sex Box.
Following Sex Box is the premiere of seductive relationship drama Lip Service which follows the romantic lives of a group of twenty-something lesbians in Glasgow. The series stars Heather Peace host of SBS 2’s Mardi Gras broadcast earlier this year, and was described by The Guardian UK as “Same Sex and the City”.
After Lip Service Dan Savage returns with the launch of his own series Savage U. This twelve part series follows sex-advice columnist extraordinaire, Savage as he travels the US visiting university campuses around the country answering student’s most personal questions about sex, dating, and relationships. From the student centre to night-time hot spots Dan will get a real feel for what makes each school's sex and relationship culture unique. From the serious to the silly - no topic is taboo, too kinky or too conservative.
