AFL Semi Finals action on Seven has scored the highest ratings of the year with North’s win over Geelong grabbing a combined peak audience of 1,856,000 viewers and Port’s upset win over Fremantle delivering a 1,851,000 national peak.

Friday Night Football – Geelong v North Melbourne Second Semi Final on Channel 7 and 7mate also had the highest Friday night five city metro match average of 1,001,000 and highest Melbourne average audience of 591,000 as the Kangaroos won the right to play the Swans in the Preliminary Final.

Saturday Night Footy – Fremantle v Port Adelaide First Semi Final also grabbed the highest five city metro average for 2014 of 1,003,000, along with record average audiences in Adelaide and Perth of 245,000 and 213,000 respectively.

Meanwhile on Fox Footy the Friday night Geelong v North Melbourne clash had 382,000 viewers nationally (including regional), while the Saturday night Fremantle v Port Adelaide clash had 401,000 viewers nationally (including regional).
