Australian television premiere
It has been the most anticipated production of 2014 - the Monty Python team’s reunion on stage for the first time in over 30 years …and for the last time ever.
Filmed in July on the final night of ten sold out performances at London’s epic O2 arena,Monty Python Live (Mostly) - One Down and Five to Go is the influential comedy troupe’s hilarious last stand.
At a combined age of nearly 361, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin take to the stage and perform some of Monty Python’s classic sketches and much-loved songs.
Laugh like you haven’t for years to ‘The Four Yorkshiremen’, ‘The Spam Sketch’, ‘The Albatross’ and the infamous ‘Dead Parrot Sketch’.
Sing along to “The Lumberjack Song” and get the whole family shouting the rousing chorus of “Every Sperm is Sacred”.
The bombastic show also encompasses film inserts from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Terry Gilliam’s iconic animations, outrageous ensemble dance routines and a fantastic live orchestra.
Monty Python Live (Mostly) – One Down, Five to Go brings all the silliness, absurdity, and iconic Brit humour that has cemented the Python’s reputation as the most influential comedy group of all time and, more importantly, one of the funniest.
Relive the laughs, and say goodbye when Monty Python’s final performance premieres at 8.30pm Sunday 28 September on SBS ONE and at 7.30pm Monday 29 September on STUDIO.
