Seven’s Summer of Tennis hits fever pitch from 10am AEDT today with live and exclusive coverage of Day One of the 2015 Australian Open.

Seventeen-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer returns to Rod Laver Arena to battle Chinese Taipei’s Yen-Hsun Lu on Monday night, before Maria Sharapova faces Croatian Petra Martic.

Young Aussie gun Nick Kyrgios will also be taking to the court in prime time to face Argentinean Federico Delbonis.

And there’s a feast of Aussies in action throughout the day:

Bernard Tomic, Thanassi Kokkinakis and Sam Groth will take on Tobias Kamke, Ernests Gulbis and Filip Krajinovic respectively late in the afternoon.

In-form Aussie James Duckworth plays Blaz Kavcic, while Marinko Matosevic starts proceedings at 11am against Russian Alexander Kudryavtsev, along with fellow Aussie Jarmila Gajdosova taking on Romanian Alexandra Dulgheru.

In 2015 coverage of the Australian Open will no longer be available on Fox Sports, instead Seven will provide viewers with the choice of live coverage of the tournament across two channels – Channel 7 and 7TWO – with the Channel 7 coverage switching to 7mate at 6pm for the hour of news and public affairs.

Also in 2015 fans will be able to watch every match from 16 broadcast courts, in addition to the Channel 7 and 7TWO coverage, all streamed live on mobile, tablet and desktop devices, and through the PLUS 7 service on Hybrid (HBB) TV.

BRUCE McAVANEY will be in the commentary chair, with expert analysis from four-time Grand Slam champion JIM COURIER and, when his playing commitments allow, LLEYTON HEWITT will also return.

Joining them will be a team of tennis experts including TODD WOODBRIDGE, JOHN NEWCOMBE, JOHN FITZGERALD, ROGER RASHEED, SAM SMITH, RENNAE STUBBS, ALICIA MOLIK, NICOLE BRADTKE and HENRI LECONTE – as well as Seven’s accomplished team of TV hosts, commentators and reporters who will help to bring the Australian Open series alive.
