Hewitt and Stosur lead Aussie charge on Day Two - Australian Open on Seven

Australian tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt and top ranked female Sam Stosur headline the Australian Open action live on Channel 7 and 7TWO. 

Hewitt, lining up in his record 19th consecutive Australian Open, faces off at 7pm AEDT against Chinese wildcard and world No.187 Ze Zhang, whom he has beaten twice before.

Stosur, seeded No.20, starts her 2015 grand slam campaign at 11am AEDT against Romanian Monica Niculesku, a crafty and creative veteran, two-handed on both sides with a career high ranking of 28.

New Australian Ajla Tomljanovic battles American Shelby Rogers straight after the Hewitt match tomorrow night, while Casey Dellacqua, aiming to emulate her successful 2008 and 2014 Opens will take on Austrian Yvonne Meusburger third up on Margaret Court during the day.

Other big names in action on Day 2 include world No.1 and four-time Australian Open winner Novak Djokovic, defending champion Stanislas ‘the Stanimal’ Wawrinka, 18-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams and popular Frenchman Gael Monfils. 

For the first time in 2015, Seven will provide viewers with the choice of live coverage of the tournament across two channels – Channel 7 and 7TWO – with the Channel 7 coverage switching to 7mate at 6pm for the hour of news and public affairs.

Also in 2015 fans are able to watch every match from 16 broadcast courts, in addition to the Channel 7 and 7TWO coverage, all streamed live on mobile, tablet and desktop devices, and through the PLUS 7 service on Hybrid (HBB) TV.
