The highly-anticipated seventh season of The Good Wife is set to return to TEN on Wednesday, October 14, at 9.30pm.

The new season which premiered last week in the US, welcomes actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Extant), and Broadway star Cush Jumbo (Vera) to the main cast. Margo Martindale and Vanessa Williams will also take on recurring roles in this series.

The newcomers wil join existing cast members, including Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski, Matt Czuchry, Alan Cumming and Chris Noth. Michael J. Fox will again guest star in his Emmy-nominated role as Louis Canning. Archie Panjabi departed from the show last season.

After Alicia Florrick’s (Julianna Margulies) short-lived career in politics last season, when she was forced to step down as State’s Attorney due to voter fraud, she must now re-invent herself and revive her struggling law career.
Alicia begins to make a fresh start by cautiously practicing law with the assistance of Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a calm, experienced investigator she hires. But as her husband Peter (Chris Noth) contemplates running for the Presidency, will she have the courage to step back into the spotlight once again and support him?

Series creators and executive producers, Robert and Michelle King, said of Jeffrey joining the cast: “We’ve loved and admired Jeffrey Dean Morgan for years and we were thrilled to hear that Julianna did too, so it was a no-brainer to ask him to join our troupe.”
