DeciderTV can exclusively report that Network Ten will air the new min-season of THE X-FILES in Australia in 2016 after yesterday FOX announced it would launch the series in the US on January 24 next year.
David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson reprise their roles as Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, with series creator Chris Carter also returning as Executive Producer as well as a part of the writing team for the six episode return mini-series .
Ten championed the fast-tracking of shows from the US in previous years and The X-Files is expected to be delivered in a similar manner, likely in the Monday 8:30pm timeslot (similar to the delivery of Homeland).
Full details are expected to be confirmed by the network at their UpFronts in the coming weeks.
