Seven turns up the heat this Summer | @Channel7

ProgrammingSteve Molk

Seven line up their Summer schedule, and the big surprise is the continuation of their fast-tracked content from the US (a win for viewers). Additionally the scheduling of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S03 and The Goldbergs S02 will make some fans even happier. Then, come January, sport kicks in with lots of Tennis (& endless promos for shows coming After the Tennis like MKR, the final season of Downton Abbey and more)...

The advent of Summer means one thing – it’s MKR season! But before Pete Evans and Manu Feildel return with Australia’s favourite show, Seven will turn up the heat with a raft of first-run programming and the Summer’s biggest events.

New episodes of HOME AND AWAY continue into Summer ahead of the worldwide premiere of special event ‘An Eye for an Eye’ on Presto on Wednesday, December 9.

First-run episodes of THE CHASE AUSTRALIA, SUNDAY NIGHT, AUSSIE BARBECUE HEROES, BLINDSPOT, THE BLACKLIST, QUANTICO, GREY’S ANATOMY, HEROES REBORN, THE PLAYER, GRIMM, THE AMAZING RACE, CHICAGO FIRE, RAMSAY’S KITCHEN NIGHTMARES and MIGHTY CRUISE SHIPS will also continue into December.

Additionally, new seasons of AIR RESCUE, MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. and THE GOLDBERGS will premiere next month alongside new episodes of WHAT REALLY HAPPENS IN THAILAND, DYNAMO: MAGICIAN IMPOSSIBLE and MOTORWAY PATROL.

The first of the big events to hit the spotlight is the nation’s premiere celebration of Australian film and television, the 5th annual AACTA AWARDS, on Wednesday, December 9 at 8.30pm.

Then, celebrate Christmas with some of Australia’s best-loved entertainers when Woolworths CAROLS IN THE DOMAIN returns Saturday, December 19 at 8.30pm.

Seven Sport’s Summer of Tennis serves up the HOPMAN CUP (7mate) and the BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL (7TWO) from January 3, the APIA INTERNATIONAL SYDNEY (7TWO) from January 10 and the KOOYONG CLASSIC (7TWO) from January 12.

These tournaments lead to the premiere sporting event of the season and the first Grand Slam of 2016 - the AUSTRALIAN OPEN from Monday, January 18.

After the tennis, get set for new seasons of MY KITCHEN RULES, HOME AND AWAY, DOWNTON ABBEY and more, plus the highly anticipated premieres of MOLLY and the gripping new drama WANTED, starring Rebecca Gibney and Stephen Peacocke.
