Popular award-winning performer, Eddie Perfect will join the cast of ABC’s iconic children’s program PLAY SCHOOL, with his first episode expected to air in May this year on ABC4KIDS.

Eddie Perfect is one of Australia’s most diverse, respected and prolific stage and screen writer/composer/performers and has made his mark in the fields of comedy, music theatre, composition, playwriting, screenwriting, classical music, jazz and acting for stage and screen.

Perfect says PLAY SCHOOL is a dream gig that’s bound to earn him ‘rock star dad’ status at home with his own young children.

“Jemima, Big Ted, Little Ted and Humpty already feel like family, so my children are beside themselves about the news.
“Play School was a giant part of my childhood and to this day continues to play a huge role in inspiring my own kids to dance and stomp around the room.
“I’m beyond excited to be joining the presenting team at Play School; it’s always been a dream of mine. To be a part of a show that holds such an important place in the lives of children is a real honour and a thrilling responsibility. I simply cannot wait to dive in and continue the great tradition of engaging children with creative play.”

The award-winning educational television show, PLAY SCHOOL is the second-longest-running children’s show in the world and it’s estimated that 80% of children under six in Australia watch the program at least once a week.
