After 45 episodes Tens’ 'sexy soap-drama' Wonderland will air its final episode tonight.

While its yet to be officially confirmed, this website understands cast and crew have already been informed the program will not return.

Season’s One and Two of Wonderland were filmed in April – June of 2013 and 2014 respectively, A Ten Spokesperson told this website yesterday  “A decision regarding the third season of Wonderland hasn’t been made yet.”

Ten made a big bet on Wonderland commissioning a second season of the drama after only a few episodes had aired. Ratings for the series never developed with the show averaging 450k per week. Perhaps the biggest surprise was that Ten committed to keeping the series in the 8:30pm Wednesday timeslot for its entire run despite underperformance.

One of the programs stars Ben Mingay has recently accepted a guest role on Home and Away while Brooke Satchwell is preparing for a third season of Dirty Laundry Live on ABC.

The departure of Wonderland leaves a big hole in Ten’s drama schedule, at the moment a telemovie about Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark, and a miniseries about motor racing champion Peter Brock the only drama content currently in production.

While it would seem highly unlikely, it would appear some at Ten are still holding onto hope that the hugely popular Offspring will eventually return to our screens.
