Karl Stefanovic, Mark Latham Q&A ripoff gets the green light from Nine Network

The Nine Network is expected to soon announce details for its Q&A style panel program hosted by Karl Stefanovic.

A spokesperson for the Nine Network today refused to confirm any details regarding the program, however The Australian is reporting it will premiere Sunday October 11th at approximately 9:30 pm after 60 Minutes. The program titled The Verdict, will air initially for 8 weeks, and will be broadcast live from a Melbourne before a studio audience.

 

Even before it airs, the program has become the most talked about TV pilot in recent history with numerous media outlets rushing to publish the slightest bit of gossip regarding it.

Featuring controversial opinionist Mark Latham as a regular on the show, Nine is hoping this program will generate the same free publicity and big ratings that the ABC has enjoyed with Q&A.

 

Latham is currently being managed by Sydney Celeb Agent Max Markson whom was today happy to talk up his star clients performance during the recording of last weeks pilot.

“He’s intelligent, smart, well researched, forthright, opinionated, firm in his opinion and is fantastic talent.”

 

Markson went on to add that felt The Verdict would be “Must watch Television,” and “Controversial sometimes.”

An article in todays The Australian suggested Max Markson had upset producers by requesting payment for Latham’s appearance and bringing a guest to the private recording. Markson today declined to respond to the allegations.

 

Other panellists expected to appear on The Verdict include, Sandy Rea, Amanda Vanstone, Justine Rogers, Campbell Brown, Seb Robertson, Pallavi Sharda and Tammy May.
