NITV has confirmed it will produce a new live to air weekly panel program focused on the NRL competition.
League Nation Live will premiere in February 2016. The 32 week series will be produced in Brisbane and broadcast nationally on NITV.
NITV is already the home for The Marngrook Footy Show, which highlights the best indigenous players in the AFL; League Nation Live will serve a similar purpose for fans of the NRL delivering live interviews and discussion around the big weekly issues.
“In the current TV landscape, live television is a real anomaly so League Nation Live presents a truly unique and exciting experience aimed at all Australians, bringing them the best of the NRL, as well as the latest and greatest in entertainment”, said Wayne Denning, Executive Producer, Carbon Media.
Carbon Media is now searching for two / three Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to host the show each week. Ideally the new hosts have worked in TV but might have a theatrical background or may yet to be discovered possessing a natural affinity for screen with a big vibrant personality. Most importantly, they must be a genuine fan of NRL and have a love of sport.
