Filming has commenced this week on a fourth series of popular ABCTV drama The Doctor Blake Mysteries.
As the drama picks up from where series three ended, will Doctor Blake (Craig McLachlan), and his housekeeper Jean (Nadine Garner) finally pursue their romantic feelings for one another? Or will the sudden arrival of a mysterious figure from Blake’s early life threaten their world?
The fourth series will film in and around Melbourne and Ballarat, with the new eight episodes airing on ABC next year. New cast members for this series include popular performers Rodger Corser and Anna McGahan.
With a combined average metro and regional consolidated audience of 1.6 million viewers for series 3 earlier this year, The Doctor Blake Mysteries has confirmed itself as one of Australia's most popular dramas currently in production .
