Ten has been promising us for months that the new season of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here will involve some big name surprise celebrities, and if this rumour is correct they just might deliver.
Over the weekend, a clue was revealed for one of the ten celebs, "a Theatrical Lady whom was a teenage movie star, a triple threat and now is a real Lady."
Now there are not many performers that can be described as a genuine 'triple-threat', but one candidate that fits the bill perfectly Is Emmy, Tony, Grammy, BAFTA and Academy Award winner Dame Julie Andrews.
Recently Andrews has been spending time in Australia directing a 60th anniversary production of the musical My Fair Lady for Opera Australia. The performance will open at the Sydney Opera House in August 2016. The NSW Government is hopeful this production will bring plenty of tourists to the Harbour city and the cross-promotion of having Andrews in the jungle will certainly do good things for ticket sales.
Of course Ten has played tricks with its clues in the past, and it's all just a fun bit of speculation.
It would be fascinating to see if Andrews can bring as much energy and enthusiasm to the jungle as Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormack did last season. Other celebrities rumoured to be making the trip to Africa include Brendon Fevola, Layne Beachley and Anthony Minichiello.
Julie Andrews performing career began when she was a young girl appearing on stage with her Mother and Stepfather, she was soon discovered and appeared in theatrical performances such as My Fair Lady, Camelot and Victor/Victoria
After moving to the USA in 1954 she went on to star in movies including Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and The King and I.
