Five-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic takes on 17-time Grand Slam title winner Roger Federer in what promises to be an epic encounter for a place in the men’s final and a shot at the coveted Norman Brookes Challenge Cup.

After 44 meetings between Federer and Djokovic, the pair can’t be split at 22 wins apiece, with Djokovic holding a 5-3 advantage in their eight 2015 meetings, including wins at Wimbledon and the US Open.

In the afternoon, it’s the women’s semi finals as World No. 1 Serena Williams faces Polish fourth seed Agnieszka Radwanska in her campaign for a seventh Australian Open title. Then Aussie–raised Brit Johanna Konta takes on German seventh seed Angelique Kerber for a spot in Saturday night’s women’s final.
