The most competitive series of The Block ever is set to conclude when the five lavish apartments go under the hammer on Sunday, November 13, at 7.00pm on Channel Nine.

Our 2016 couples have enormous potential to earn millions when the bidding begins. Over the course of 11 series, The Block auctions have made history, with Blockheads earning a whopping $14,640,501 in prizemoney.

It all comes down to the auction finale. As Australia has seen over 10 exhausting weeks, five couples have transformed a grand old 1920s building with no walls, floors or ceilings into the biggest, most luxuriousapartments The Block has ever seen.

The Blockheads used their style prowess to design and create five lavish homes – four of them with three-bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, and the fifth with four-bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. All apartments boast generous living areas and an expansive outdoor terrace perfect for entertaining.

Atop this newly renovated art deco giant is a private, million-dollar, New York-inspired rooftop garden featuring a central spine of water, 30 five-metre oak trees, grass lawn and a large entertainment area with two separate seating areas.

Each couple will keep any profit their apartment sells for over its reserve price at auction. The couple whose property sells for the most above reserve will be declared the winners of The Block and pocket an extra $100,000.

In television’s ultimate reality renovation program, the fate of The Block renovators will be put in the hands of the buying public.
