Barry (Netflix, December 16)

A young Barack Obama (Australian Devon Terrell), known to his friends as “Barry,” arrives in New York City in the fall of 1981 to begin his junior year at Columbia University. In a crime-ridden and racially charged environment, Barry finds himself pulled between various social spheres and struggles to maintain a series of increasingly strained relationships with his Kansas-born mother, his estranged Kenyan father, and his classmates.

A young musician, Jon (Domnhall Gleeson) finds himself out of his depth when he joins an avant-garde pop band led by the mysterious Frank (Michael Fassbender), a musical genius who hides himself inside a large fake head.

Home and Away: Revenge (Presto, Foxtel Play, Foxtel On Demand, December 19)

Revenge is the first of two Home and Away Specials that will be available to stream this summer. Revenge sees the return of Summer Bay favourites Dan Ewing and Lisa Gormley as couple Heath and Bianca Braxton.
