Former Seven News Director, Rob Raschke is returning to SKY News to take on the newly created role of Executive Editor.

Raschke is widely regarded as one of the best news directors in the country having lead Seven Brisbane to significant ratings success before moving to the national role.

He departed Seven in October last year after the network made the move to back Craig McPherson instead.

Raschke confirmed the news of his new role at Sky News today telling DeciderTV,

“I am very excited to be returning to Sky 20 years on. Sky's commitment to news and coverage of Australian politics is unrivalled. The people working there are first class news professionals. And Angelos is a class act.”

Raschke arrives at Sky News in time to lead the channels election coverage, Sky has recently been investing in a number of new programs and presenters as it looks to improve the value of company ahead of an expected change of ownership.

Australian News Channel CEO, Angelos Frangopoulos told DeciderTV,
