Presto has confirmed the season return of Scandal, the politically charged Washington DC-based drama will resume from its mid-season break on February 12th, with the SVOD service fast-tracking every episode of the series to stream ad-free and on-demand in line with their U.S. broadcast.

The news comes following last year’s exclusive SVOD arrival of Scandal seasons 1-4 along with the first half of season 5, which has proven to be among the most watched TV series streaming on Presto. Following a brief mid-season hiatus, the remainder of Scandal season 5 will be available to Presto subscribers this month soon after their U.S. broadcasts. Presto will continue to be the exclusive SVOD home of all episodes from seasons 1-5.

Scandal comes from the creative mind of multi-award-winning producer Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder), Scandal stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, a former media consultant to the President, who has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite by keeping their secrets under wraps. Pope leads a team who specialise in cleaning up the lives of other people, but who can’t seem to do the same for themselves.

Joining Pope in her political maneuvers are associates Quinn (Katie Lowes), who has a complicated secret history, and former CIA hacker extraordinaire Huck (Guillermo Diaz). Scandal also features Elizabeth North (Australia’s Portia De Rossi) as the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) and First Lady Melody “Mellie” Grant (Bellamy Young).

All current episodes of Scandal seasons 1-5 are available now to stream on Presto. Also airing exclusive to Presto are all current episodes from seasons 1-2 of American Crime with new episodes of season 2 also added weekly, in line with their U.S. broadcast.
