The Seven Network has confirmed it will launch a new movie focused channel 7Flix.

A promo for the new channel was revealed during last nights presentation of Molly.

The new channel which will launch on February 28th, will also contain a mix of general entertainment and kids programming including, Seinfeld, The Amazing Race, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy, The Mindy Project, and Once Upon a Time.

Apart from this 1 minute promo, Seven is yet to provide any further details on the new channel. A senior Seven Network spokesperson declined to answer questions last night telling DeciderTV: "No release. More to come."

While not an unexpected move from the Network in an age of ad-free movies on SVOD services like Netflix, Stan & Presto introducing a movie channel punctuated with ads is a curious move.

With both Seven and Nine offering four multichannels (& Seven about to catch up to Nine with a HD simulcast) this sharpens the focus on Ten who are on record in saying they won't be rushing to deliver either.
