AFL great Billy Brownless bared his soul in an incredibly honest and emotional interview at the beginning of last nights Footy Show telling audiences “a good mate wouldn't do that.”

The ten minute segment with co-hosts James Brayshaw and Sam Newman addressed the scandal and rumours which has effected the show. "I couldn't believe it. I found out three or four months ago. I asked Garry and Nicky earlier on what is going on and they said they were just good friends. That's what hurts the most," Brownless said

Asked if Brownless will ever be able to forgive Lyon, he responded, “It’d be bloody hard. I wouldn’t know what to say to him. What do you say?” “When the time’s right, we’ll sit down and have a couple of beers.”
