The Nine Network has confirmed it will produce a new version of Celebrity Come Dine with Me.

The announcement comes one month after Nine lost out in legal action that prevents it from producing any more of its MKR inspired series, The Hot Plate. Nine also agreed not to re-airor sell the original series of The Hot Plate in an out-of-court settlement with Seven.

Produced by ITV Studios, Celebrity Come Dine with Me will air on Nine later in 2016. The program was previously produced for Foxtel’s Lifestyle channel in 2013.

Nine is promising the new series will see ‘Australia’s favourite celebrities’ battling it out for the title of the ultimate dinner party host. The stakes are high, with the host of the best dinner party claiming the cash prize for their favourite charity.

The celebrities will go head to head, with one entertaining, cooking and serving the party while their competitors snoop around their homes, looking for anything out of the ordinary, before dinner is served.
