Dr Michael Mosley, “the 5:2 diet guy,” returns to SBS with a brand new series of Michael Mosley: Trust Me, I’m a Doctor as he and his medical team tackle these questions and many more over six Monday nights on SBS, offering uncomplicated, trustworthy advice on important health issues and concerns.

From simple health tips like how to cure cramps, to the more baffling topics such as secrets to help keep the mind sharp throughout ageing, Dr Mosley and his team bring definitive answers to questions on an array of health topics.

The four medical masterminds bring their years of expertise to this new season, looking at the research surrounding the effectiveness of conventional medicine as well as unorthodox treatments. Michael joins volunteers in a study to discover whether a diet overhaul can lower cholesterol as successfully as drugs like statins, emergency doctor Dr Saleyha Ahsan reveals new research that could cure snoring, and British infectious diseases doctor  Dr Chris van Tulleken investigates the truth behind skincare products: could they being doing more harm than good? And finally, surgeon and author Dr Gabriel Weston investigates a potentially groundbreaking new treatment for cancer.

By experimenting on their own bodies and visiting the world’s leading research hospitals, Dr Michael Mosley and his colleagues gather the evidence to provide answers to the everyday questions affecting people’s health.
