Sky News is promising to have "Australia's most comprehensive LIVE multi-channel, multi-platform coverage" of Budget 2016 Tonight.

The live coverage begins at 6:00pm on SKY NEWS LIVE (CH 601), SKY NEWS BUSINESS (CH 602) and the SKY NEWS ELECTION CHANNEL (CH 606) with Budget 2016: Setting The Scene anchored by Laura Jayes and Carson Scott taking a final look at what we can expect from this year’s budget.

At 7:30pm, The Treasurer will bring you Scott Morrison, LIVE and uninterrupted, as he delivers the Turnbull Government’s much-anticipated pre-election budget direct from Parliament House in Canberra.

From 8:00pm, The Verdict will offer live and instant analysis with SKY NEWS Political Editor David Speers in Canberra as he interviews Treasurer Morrison and Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen, as well as the Greens leader Richard Di Natale.

David will look at the political and economic implications of a budget that will set the scene for the election with political and economic experts. Also on the panel Sky News commentators Peter van Onselen and Patricia Karvelas as well as Jennifer Westacott from the BCA and Ged Kearney from the ACTU.

At 10:00pm, Paul Murray LIVE will take a look into what the budget will mean to you, with Paul Murray to be joined by Chris Kenny, Ed Husic, Miranda Devine, Kristina Keneally, Janine Perrett, Ross Cameron, Adam Creighton and Nick Cater as they examine any budget savings or cost increases. Paul will also speak LIVE with Finance Minister Mathias Cormann.

For in-depth analysis and reaction from the business community, SKY NEWS BUSINESS presents Budget 2016: Roundtable anchored by Business Editor James Daggar-Nickson LIVE from Canberra at 10:00pm.

From 5:00am on Wednesday May 4, SKY NEWS Chief Political Reporter Kieran Gilbert and Brooke Corte anchor in-depth coverage throughout First Edition and AM Agenda on SKY NEWS LIVE, talking to political and industry leaders as the Government begins the hard-sell. While on SKY NEWS BUSINESS Helen Dalley will anchor Budget 2016: The Morning After from 8:30am.
