Comedy Central has launched the brand new mini-series ‘Trendy’ from Australian absurdist sketch group, Aunty Donna, which premieres every Friday.

Exclusively commissioned for Comedy Central Australia, the series features actors and writers, Mark Samual Bonanno, Broden Kelly and Zachary Ruane in surreal, fast paced alternatives sketches.   

‘Trendy’ is Comedy Central’s first ever Australian commission and is made up of five episodes titledCocktail, Pitch Perfect, Chef Matthias, Eat Mark's Face and Haven't You Done Well 6. The series is available worldwide on comedycentral.com.au and Fetch TV’s Comedy Central, channel 108.

Aunty Donna exploded onto the Melbourne comedy scene in 2012 with their unique brand of live absurdist sketches, following on to create an award winning YouTube channel, garnering over 100,000 subscribers and 13 million views.

Comedy Central Australia, which launched with an Australian website in January, followed by the Fetch TV channel in April, will continue to commission new and exclusive content from home grown Aussie talent, with the next local commission being announced mid-May.
