Weekend binge watch: BoJack Horseman: Season 3 (Friday July 22, Netflix)

This critically acclaimed animated comedy is back for its third season. BoJack (Will Arnett) is certain he’s on the comeback trail as he promotes his starring return in the film biography of Secretariat, the legendary racehorse. Despite the Oscar buzz surrounding the movie, BoJack worries about his artistic legacy. The third season drops at 5pm, so you have all weekend to catch up on the adventures of BoJack, Diane, Princess Carolyn, Mr Peanutbutter and Todd.



Olive Kitteridge (Friday July 22, Presto)

This miniseries based on the book by Elizabeth Strout won awards in nearly all of its Emmy categories in 2015. Olive (Frances McDormand) is a blunt but well-meaning woman, who is a teacher in her small Maine town. The miniseries drops in at four different points of Olive’s life with her husband Henry (Richard Jenkins), their son Christopher (John Gallagher Jr.), and her late in life friendship with Jack Kennison (Bill Murray).



Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Saturday July 23, Presto)

Coinciding with this week’s cinematic release of Star Trek Beyond, the original Star Trek movies are all dropping on Presto this weekend. If you’re new to the franchise, start with one of its most popular films, The Wrath of Khan. Admiral James T. Kirk (William Shatner) is a teacher at the Star Fleet Academy. While on a training cruise with cadets, the USS Enterprise falls into the path of Kirk’s nemesis, Khan Noonien Singh (Ricardo Montalban).



Girlhood (Sunday July 24, Stan)

Marieme (Karidja Toure) joins an all-girl gang in Paris and slowly comes out of her shell when she befriends her three sassy neighbours. As she falls further under their bravado and volatile energy, she begins making brave and foolish choices in this 2014 award winning French film.



Extant: Season 1 (Thursday July 28, Stan)

Astronaut Molly Watts (Halle Berry) returns home from a year-long solo mission to discover that she’s pregnant. Molly is unaware that her experiences in space lead to events that will ultimately change the course of human history.
