Sons of Anarchy: All Seasons (Netflix, Presto, September 1)
Sons of Anarchy is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones about a notorious outlaw motorcycle club intent on protecting their small town of Charming, California against encroaching drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers. The show stars Charlie Hunnam as Jackson “Jax” Teller, initially the vice president of the club, who begins questioning the club and himself.
Gasland Part II (Presto, September 1)
Gasland Part II is one of six HBO documentaries dropping on Presto next week. This sequel to the award winning documentary Gasland (2010) about the environmental effects of fracking in the United States expands to the rest of the world to explore how further movements have emerged in opposition to coal seam gas worldwide, including in Australia.
Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy: We’ve Been Thinking (Netflix, August 26)
Grammy nominated comedian Jeff Foxworthy and fellow member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour Larry the Cable Guy bring their stand-up show “We’ve Been Thinking” to Netflix this weekend. Both comics perform individual sets, then conduct a Q&A session with the audience.
The Tale of Love and Darkness (Stan, August 31)
Natalie Portman directs this astounding drama based on the memoir of Amos Oz, an advocate of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
