Clinton vs Trump - US Presidential Debates Live on ABC News 24 and Sky News

US presidential candidates Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump go head to head in the much-anticipated first US presidential debate on Tuesday September 27.

The event will be broadcast live from Hempstead, New York from 11am-1pm (AEST) on ABC News and SKY News.

It will also be live-streamed at: abc.net.au/news24. Twitter are also streaming the debates live from debates.twitter.com.

The debate will cover three topics: America’s direction, achieving prosperity and securing America.

John Barron, host of Planet America and ABC News 24 presenter Joe O’Brien will host a live discussion panel after the debate, featuring expert analysis from commentators who will fill in the gaps around what was, or was not, said by the candidates.

USA Votes: Presidential Debate - Monday October 10 from 12-2pm (AEDT)

Live from St Louis, Missouri the second US Presidential Debate of the campaign with Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump.

Live from Las Vegas, Nevada, the third and final US Presidential Debate of the campaign with Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump.

SKY NEWS will broadcast the US Presidential debate series LIVE across both SKY NEWS LIVE and SKY NEWS ELECTION CHANNEL.

The first of four debates will be held on Tuesday September 27 at 11:00am AEST. On SKY NEWS LIVE the SKY NEWS team will preview and review each debate from an Australian perspective led by Political Editor David Speers, Peter van Onselen, Kristina Keneally and a selection of special guest commentators.

The SKY NEWS ELECTION CHANNEL will feature commentary and analysis from an American perspective with LIVE coverage from C-SPAN, America’s leader in political coverage.

Tuesday September 27 – First Presidential Debate, Hofstra University Hempstead, NY

This initial debate will cover six major topics, selected by the moderator. Each candidate will be given two minutes to respond to a question and further time to respond to each other to generate deeper discussion.

CH 606: Preview program from 9:30am AEST, the debate LIVE at 11:00am AEST followed by US post reaction and calls.

 

Wednesday October 5 – Vice Presidential Debate, Longwood University, Farmville, VA

Each candidate will be asked a total of nine questions.

CH 606: Preview program from 10:30am, the debate LIVE at 12:00pm followed by US post reaction and calls.

 

Monday October 10 – Second Presidential Debate, Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO

The debate is done in a “town-meeting” format where each candidate answers questions half posed by uncommitted voter citizen participants and half by the moderator. The questions will be based on topics of broad public interest as reflected in social media and other sources.

Thursday October 20 – Third Presidential Debate, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, NV

This debate again covers six major topics, selected by the moderator. Each candidate will be given two minutes to respond to a question and further time to respond to each other to generate deeper discussion.
