Australian animated series Beat Bugs scores 5 Emmy Nominations

Locally produced animated children's series Beat Bugs has received five nominations in the Daytime Emmy Awards

The series is co-produced by the Seven Network and is available worldwide via Netflix.

Beat Bugs is nominated in five categories for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards in the United States.

  • Outstanding Writing in a Preschool Animated Program
  • Outstanding Directing in a Preschool Animated Program
  • Outstanding Main Title and Graphic Designer
  • Outstanding Sound Mixing - Preschool Animated Program
  • Outstanding Sound Editing – Preschool Animated Program

Beat Bugs features some of the most well-known Beatles songs woven into the narrative of each episode, with Eddie Vedder, P!nk, James Bay, Sia, Robbie Williams, The Shins, Of Monsters and Men, Chris Cornell, Regina Spektor, Tori Kelly, Aloe Black, Frances, James Corden, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Cornell, and Rod Stewart each recording their rendition of an iconic song. Among the 52 11-minute episodes.

Songs featured include Help!, Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Magical Mystery Tour.
