Weekend Binge Watch: Twin Peaks (Stan, May 22)

The first four episodes of the Twin Peaks revival drop on Stan next Monday, but if you’re like me, you’re only up to episode 2 in your rewatch. No one has seen the new episodes of Twin Peaks, but co-creator and director David Lynch said it’s necessary to watch every episode AND Fire Walk With Me before you start the new season. On Monday you can revisit the world of Twin Peaks, and catch up with FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) and the Log Lady (Catherine E. Coulson). New faces to the series include Michael Cera (Arrested Development), Amanda Seyfried (Veronica Mars, Mean Girls), and Laura Dern (Jurassic Park, Enlightened) in a top-secret role.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Season 3 (Netflix, May 19)

The show with the catchiest theme song on television/streaming is back! Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) has completed her GED, but she’s still married to the Reverend (Jon Hamm). Titus (Titus Burgess) returns from his cruise to find that his boyfriend may have been unfaithful, and local politics isn’t as easy as Lillian (Carol Kane) had hoped. Featuring an outstanding guest cast including Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, Black-ish) and Laura Dern (Big Little Lies, Twin Peaks 2017), the third season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a winning combination of heart-warming and funny.

Scream 1-3 (Stan, May 19)

Created by Kevin Williamson (Dawson’s Creek, The Following) and directed by horror legend Wes Craven, Scream launched one of the most successful slasher franchises in the world – revitalising the horror genre, receiving critical acclaim, and turning is cast into movie stars.

Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King (Netflix, May 23)

The Daily Show’s Hasan Minhaj (2017 White House Correspondents’ Dinner) performs to a packed house at the Mondavi Center in Minhaj’s hometown of Davis, California. The special draws on his experience as a Muslim American, as Minhaj riffs on racism, immigrant parents, prom night horrors and more.

The Bachelorette (US): Season 13, Episode 1 (9Now, May 23)

When defence attorney Rachel Lindsay was on Season 21 of The Bachelor, she was so popular that fans were calling for her to be made the next Bachelorette. She’s also America’s first black Bachelorette. This season, 31 men are competing for Rachel’s heart. Who will be the villain, who will be kicked out on the first night, and who will win the final rose?
