Samantha Bee, host of the acclaimed SBS VICELAND late-night series Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, is following White House tradition by hosting her own inaugural ‘Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner’ which will air Thursday, 4 May at 8.00pm on SBS VICELAND.

Samantha, noted purveyor of ‘fake news’, will host the gala affair, welcoming journalists and non-irritating celebrities from around the world.

The Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner will answer the question ‘What if Washington DC’s annual nerd prom were hosted by a lady nerd and had way more curse words? Also, what if it actually honoured a free press and gave the finger to those who would try to diminish it?’ The event is sure to bring plenty of surprises, music, food, and laughter – and if you’re not careful, you just might learn something. Though unrelated, Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is being filmed at the exact same time as the official White House Correspondents’ Dinner. What an incredible coincidence.
