Coming to you live from a bunker underneath Parliament House, Sammy J’s Democratic Party is the warm hug we need to get us through another winter of Australian politics.

This short form series welcomes back brand new instalments of Playground Politics, as well as introducing the thrilling police drama Constitutional Cops, the edge-of-your-seat excitement of the all-new game show Get Them to the Frontbench and plenty more. There’ll be something for everyone in this weekly smorgasbord. Unless that person is Malcolm Turnbull or Bill Shorten.

So pour yourself a drink, invite your local MP around and get ready to party like it’s 2017 – because democracy has never tasted sweeter.

Sammy J is an award-winning comedian, writer and musician. A proud nerd, he abandoned his law degree to travel the world and sing funny songs for a living. He has since performed in Edinburgh, Montreal, and every major Australian comedy festival. His album “Skinny Man, Modern World” received an ARIA nomination for Best Comedy Release, and he gained a national following with his satirical take on the 2016 Federal Election, Sammy J’s Playground Politics. His most recent solo show, Hero Complex, was nominated for Best Show at the 2017 Adelaide Fringe & Melbourne Comedy Festivals.

Sammy J’s Democratic Party arrives, ready to delight Capital Hill and beyond, Wednesday May 31 first at 5pm on ABC iview & ABC iview Facebook then ABC TV at 10pm
