EXCLUSIVE: A new season of Australian Survivor will soon be hitting our TV screens with filming currently underway in the tropical paradise of Samoa.
DeciderTV recently revealed the identity of four contestants from the new season, and now we can add some more names into the mix.
BEWARE: SPOILERS BELOW!
One contestant that will definitely play a strong game is endurance runner Samantha Gash.
This highly motivated athlete whom also has a background as a lawyer, has been using her physical skills to raise much needed funds for the Save the Children charity over the last 5 years.
Among her list of impressive achievements is competing in the ‘4 Deserts Grand Slam’. An event which requires competitors to run four, 250km ultra marathons across the driest (Chile), windiest (China), hottest (Sahara) and coldest deserts (Antarctica) in one calendar year.
Another contestant that is sure to stir things up in camp is Henry Nicholson.
An amateur footballer from South Australia, Henry is a fun-loving lad with heaps of mates. His quick wit and ability to charm his way out of trouble will no doubt serve him well.
These two contestants join the names previously revealed by DeciderTV, including former Olympian Nicola Zagame. The 26-year-old from Sydney won a Bronze medal as part of Australia’s Water Polo team at the 2012 London Olympics.
Nicola also has a background in art and is "intrigued by the animal-like qualities often found in people, both in physical appearance and personality."
Jacqui Patterson, is a marriage celebrant with a difference from Byron Bay. Jacqui describes herself as “always upbeat, high energy, entertaining, quick witted and ready to make people laugh so hard they cry.”
It will be interesting to see if Jacqui’s background as a trapeze artist will assist her during Survivor’s physical challenges which often require a high level of fitness and balance.
Music and Adventure Photographer Jarrad Seng will be another contestant to keep a close eye on. Jarrad has travelled the world to capture amazing images. He's hung out of open plane windows to shoot aerial landscapes in Iceland, and captured portraits of Maasai children in remote Tanzania
In 2013 Jarrad was selected as a finalist for the West Australian Young Person of the Year.
A contestant that will definitely turn heads is international fashion model and prominent social media personality Sarah Tilleke. Sarah has been travelling the world as a highly successful model since the age of 17. Sarah describes herself as “highly creative and strongly motivated.”
Interesting Sarah already has experience with reality television having been a finalist on Foxtel series The Face in 2014.
DeciderTV also hears that this season will feature an attractive female plumber named Aimee from Melbourne, plus an international poker player by the name of Adam Parkin.
Who will have what it takes to win the world’s greatest game? Over 55 days, they must outwit, outlast and outplay each other to become the sole Survivor.
Australian Survivor is currently in production, and is expected to premiere in late July after the conclusion of the current season of MasterChef.
