SKY NEWS has announced the launch of its new Gold Coast bureau and studio, which will begin broadcasting LIVE from the Gold Coast Bulletin headquarters this week.
SKY NEWS anchor Paul Murray will broadcast his leading primetime program Paul Murray LIVE from the new studio with a series of special edition Gold Coast episodes airing Monday 31 July – Thursday 3 August at 9:00pm on SKY NEWS LIVE.
Paul Murray said: “I love Queensland, it’s real Australia and we have no better supporters of PML than here. We have taken the show to Mt Isa, Coolum, Maroochydore, the Gold Coast and Townsville.
The Gold Coast studio will be my second home. I love the place and can’t wait to have breakfast in Broadbeach, see a movie at Robina and broadcast from Southport this week," he said.
Tonight at 8:00pm, Peter Beattie and Campbell Newman anchor a special Commonwealth Games edition of Beattie & Reith featuring a host of local guests coming LIVE from the Gold Coast studio.
Then Friday at 4:00pm, Janine Perrett will anchor The Friday Show LIVE from the new studio.
With the new bureau comes the appointment of Johanna Marie, a long standing local resident, as SKY NEWS Gold Coast Reporter. Johanna will bring all the breaking news and issues affecting the Gold Coast region to the SKY NEWS platforms nationally.
Also based in the new bureau, FOX SPORTS News Reporter Mark Gottleib will cover the latest sporting news for FOX SPORTS News and the SKY NEWS channels.
The new studio marks another significant milestone in the expansion of SKY NEWS, Australia’s unrivalled leader in 24/7 news and national affairs coverage and highlights its ongoing commitment to regional news.
The Gold Coast studio adds to the SKY NEWS portfolio of bureaus nationwide which include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Hobart, Geelong and Cairns.
