Streaming Guide August 11 – August 17

Atypical: Season 1 (Netflix, August 11)

Atypical is a coming of age story that follows Sam (Keir Gilchrist, United States of Tara), an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum as he searches for love and independence. While Sam is on his funny yet emotional journey of self-discovery, the rest of his family (Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Rappaport and Brigette Lundy-Paine) must grapple with change in their own lives as they wonder what it really means to be normal.

Regular Show: Season 8, Part 2 (Stan, August 16)

More brand new episodes of Regular Show come to Stan, 3 months ahead of Cartoon Network. As we head towards the final episode ever, join Mordecai and Rigby as they continue their adventures in space, as a cosmic evil threatens the universe.

The Other Guy: Season 1 (Stan, August 17)

Created by and starring Australian comedian Matt Okine, The Other Guy is a funny, raw and poignant look at break-ups in the modern age and at the harsh reality of recovering from heartbreak. Okine stars as AJ Amon, a successful radio host who finds himself unexpectedly back in the dating pool for the first time in a decade, after discovering his long-term girlfriend (Valene Kane, The Fall) has been having an affair with his best friend (Christiaan Van Vuuren, Bondi Hipsters). Co-stars include Harriet Dyer (No Activity, Love Child), Adam Briggs (Cleverman), Magda Szubanski (Kath & Kim, Bran Nue Dae) and rising star Amali Golden (Australian Idol).

Ouro: Amazon Gold (SBS OnDemand, August 17)

Vincent (Mathieu Spinosi), a 20-year-old geology student from Paris, travels deep into the Amazonian jungles of French Guyana for an internship at a gold mining company. Taken under the wing of local gold lord Antoine Serra (Olivier Rabourdin), Vincent quickly falls into the much more lucrative – and more dangerous – world of gold trafficking.

Suite Française (Netflix, August 17)

Waiting for news of her prisoner-of-war husband, a French woman (Michelle Williams) in Nazi-occupied France reluctantly falls for a German officer (Matthias Schoenaerts) quartering in her home.
