The Socceroos’ quest to qualify for their fourth consecutive World Cup heats up this week and next, with their final two Round 3 showdowns against Japan (Thursday 31 August) and Thailand (Tuesday 5 September).

The Socceroos are currently in third place on the Group B ladder; a win against the ladder-leading Japan could see Australia move into one of the two automatic qualification spots for their last group match against Thailand next week.

In addition to showing both games LIVE, with no ad-breaks during play and in HD, Fox Sports, on Foxtel, will also broadcast the final Group B clash between Saudi Arabia and Japan on September 6.

The result of that top-of-the-table clash could be crucial to whether Australia qualify or advance to a fourth qualification round.

Fans can also get instant access to all three games with Foxtel Now, and be signed up and streaming all the action LIVE within minutes.

Fox Sports’ coverage kicks off from 8pm EST on Thursday, when Mark Bosnich, Robbie Slater, Josh Kennedy and Adam Peacock combine to preview the clash in Japan.

John Aolisi will join Bosnich, Slater and Peacock in Melbourne the following week for a 60-minute preview from 7pm, while Tara Rushton, Michael Zappone and Daniel Garb deliver updates from the sideline.

The game’s number one commentary duo Simon Hill & Andy Harper will call the action in both clashes.
