Nine’s inspirational series This Time Next Year has been a significant success in 2017, and the Nine Network today announced it will return for a second series.

The premiere episode last month attracted an average national audience of 1.870 million viewers and peaked at 2.205 million, and the program has consistently won its timeslot with Total People.

The Nine Network is now looking for contributors for series two who are planning to change their lives by “this time next year”.

Given the fact it takes more than 12 months to produce the series, its unlikely viewers will see season two before 2019.

Host Karl Stefanovic says he can’t wait to hear the new pledges that everyday Australians will share with the entire nation.

“In this series I’ve been floored by some of the people I’ve met. They’ve overcome incredible odds to tackle big personal goals like losing half their body weight, finding love, having a baby, overcoming a phobia and even recovering from a spinal injury to walk again,” he said.

“Whether you’re 5 or 95, if you want to transform your life by ‘this time next year’ we want to hear from you. We’re also encouraging people to nominate a friend or relative.”
