Will & Grace (2017): Episode 13 (Stan, March 9)

The Will & Grace revival was renewed for a tenth (or second, depending on how you count) season well before its September premiere, and a check-in is overdue. This week a baby shower makes Grace (Debra Messing) and Will (Eric McCormack) question their life choices. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) and Jack (Sean Hayes) find a way to combine child labour with musical theatre. Jennifer Lopez will guest-star both as herself and her “Shades of Blue” character, Detective Harlee Santos.







Annihilation (Netflix, March 12)

Based on the novel by Jeff VanderMeer, Annihilation is the latest film from Alex Garland (Ex Machina). When biologist Lena (Natalie Portman) sees her husband (Oscar Isaac) for the first time in a year without contact, she signs up for a deadly mission inside an area known as the Shimmer. Along with fellow scientists played by Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Tuva Novotny, Lena discovers a phenomenon where the laws of nature have been altered in an effort to discover what happened to her husband.







Terrace House: Opening New Doors: Part 1 (Netflix, March 13)

That’s right, it’s time for a new season of Terrace House, the hit Japanese reality show that’s beloved for its simple premise of six young people living together in a house and seeing what happens. It also helps that there’s a panel of celebrity commentators to talk about the big moments including model and actress Reina Treindl and comedian Yamasoto. This season Terrace House returns to Japan, and our new cast searches for love in a luxury cabin in the woods.







Rise: Season 1, Episode 1 (Stan, March 14)

From Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood) and Jeffrey Seller, producer of the explosive Broadway hit Hamilton, prepare to be uplifted as a teacher (Josh Radnor, How I Met Your Mother) takes over his school’s lacklustre theatre department, galvanizing not only the faculty and students, but the entire working-class town.







The Looming Tower: Season 1, Episode 5 (Amazon Prime Video, March 15)

This miniseries starring Jeff Daniels and Alec Baldwin examines the inter-agency conflicts between the FBI and the CIA in the lead-up to September 11, 2001. The Looming Tower is based on the book of the same name by Lawrence Wright, for which he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction in 2007.
