Highlights

Imposters: Season 2, Episode 1 (Stan, April 6)

One of the breakout hits of 2017 is back, complete with the scene-stealing and scenery-chewing Uma Thurman (Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction) as a guest star. When we last met sultry seductress and sneaky con-artist Maddie (Inbar Lavi), she was on the run from Lenny Cohen (Thurman), as were her last three victims (Rob Heaps, Parker Young and Marianne Rendón). Maddie is trying to lay low in a new town and is on the lookout for her mysterious employer The Doctor, as well as the FBI. Meanwhile Ezra, Richard and Jules are on their own run from the law – they’re just not as good at it.

Barry: Season 1, Episode 3 (Foxtel Now, April 9)

In this dark comedy created by Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live, Inside Out) and Alec Berg (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm), Hader plays a midwestern hitman who travels to Los Angeles to take someone out, and unexpectedly finds himself becoming a member of an acting class, pursuing a passion he didn’t know he had.

Homecoming Queens: Season 1 (SBS On Demand, April 12)

Created and co-written by Michelle Law (Single Asian Female) and real-life bestie Chloë Reeson, Homecoming Queens is inspired by their own friendship and health experiences, with a little creative life. In her first on-camera role, Law plays a fictionalised version of herself. When she’s diagnosed with alopecia, Michelle flees to Brisbane and arrives on her best friend Chloë’s (played by Liv Hewson) doorstep in the middle of the night. While Michelle’s still learning to live with her illness, Chloë has finished chemotherapy and wants to make a start on a ‘reverse bucket list’. Funny and refreshing, this seven-episode series is a must-watch.
