Change is coming to the Logie’s with the awards to be further separated into two distinct categories – viewer voted Best Awards, and industry voted Most Outstanding Awards.
In 2016, a new viewer voted award for Best News Panel Or A Current Affairs Program will be introduced, while the award for Best Factual will return. Two new industry voted awards, include Most Outstanding Supporting Actor and Most Outstanding Supporting Actress will also be introduced.
With the introduction of SVOD companies such as Netflix, Stan and Presto, 2016 will see the 58th Logie Awards include original Australian program submissions from subscription streaming services.
