Popular British actor and comedian Stephen Fry has been recruited for a recurring role in 24: Live Another Day, The reprisal of the 24 franchise, picks up the story four years after the series finale, which left Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) as a fugitive from justice, this time in London.
Fry will play Prime Minister Trevor Davies, a strong and charismatic leader whose friendship with President Heller (William Devane), and the Anglo-American alliance itself, come under tremendous pressure because of personal and political crises.
Fry, recently completed a recurring guest role in US drama series Bones.
Earlier this month it was confirmed Two-time Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winning actress Judy Davis was also joining the series. Davis will be portraying Margot, a British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist.
Kim Raver, William Devane and Mary Lynn Rajskub will reunite with star Kiefer Sutherland to reprise their 24 roles in the new edition, set in London, taking up Jack Bauer’s story four years after the events of 24‘s final season and also play out in real time across 12 episodes.
24: Live Another Day will premiere on Ten in May 2014
