House Husband survives to get a forth season in 2015

The Nine Network has today confirmed local drama House Husbands will return for a fourth season in 2015 despite mixed fortunes this which has seen move timeslots twice. 

Gary Sweet (Lewis), Firass Dirani (Justin), Gyton Grantley (Kane), Rhys Muldoon (Mark), Julia Morris (Gemma) and Natalie Saleeba (Abi) will all be returning for another entertaining season of laughter, tears and friendship as they deal with the challenges of raising families in today’s chaotic world.

Nine’s co-Heads of Drama, Jo Rooney and Andy Ryan, welcomed the news, saying: “Life will get even more unpredictable and entertaining for our House Husbands and their families in 2015.

“House Husbands reflects the joys and heartaches of raising families in modern Australia. We’re delighted with the response to the current series and we can promise more surprises, laughter and life-changing challenges for series four.”

Executive Producers David Maher and David Taylor said: "Everyone at Playmaker is hugely proud of House Husbands and we are truly thrilled to be heading into a fourth season with the Nine Network."

House Husbands has enjoyed great ratings success this year, with season three total audience count to date each week averaging 1.225 million metro viewers and a further 441,000 regional viewers, for an impressive consolidated 5 City/regional average of 1.666 million viewers.

The hit series is also going global, with production companies Made In PM in France and Publispei in Italy purchasing the rights to remake House Husbands, using scripts from season one.

The current season of House Husbands will resume on Monday, August 4, at 8.30pm following The Block Glasshouse.
